Lord Jesus Christ, we lift up ourselves in our present state. We pray that we become more responsible in our pursuits, our faith and our prayer life.
In our personal development, as members of our families, employees, and in society, we pray to improve in our duties and responsibilities. May we be more diligent and productive in our contribution.
We pray to keep our eyes, our ears and our hearts from clinging to the things of this world. May we keep our whole being fixed on You, O Lord.
Let us never lose sight of You and let our love for You grow more and more every day.
Bestow upon us, O Lord, a genial spirit and unwearied forbearance. Give us a gentle, kind, loving and patient heart. Bless us with a pleasant, cordial speech and manners.
We pray to be true to all in our words, thoughts and deeds. May we be humble and respectful towards others and honouring God all our lives.

As guided by and directed by the Diocese of Lichfield. St Peter's Church and many other local churches will be throwing open their doors, commencing Thursday the 17th November 2022 between the hours of 10.00am & 3.00pm to invite the local community to join us for a nice hot bowl of soup and a roll plus a cup of tea or coffee. St Peter's Church benefits from a very efficient heating system and our aim is to provide a safe "Warm Space " for sections of the community who may feel vulnerable at this time of their lives, given the economic issues that surround us all. Please feel free to joined us for however long you wish and remember it is FREE. This will recurr every Thursday between those times.
Please be aware that although our heating is very reliable, we cannot 100% guarantee its functionality especially for issues that are beyond our control.
Every Blessing
St Peter's Church.
A busy time at St Peter's Church and this time it's our collaboration with the Black Country Foodbank. Marie Weaver and Jan Turner were on hand to hand over two large containers of food and household items. Every one at St Peter's must be congratulated for this fine effort. We are acutely aware of financial hardship in local communities and St Peter's together with many other churches are reaching out a helping hand.
Matthew 25:35
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.
On Sunday at 2.30pm on the 13th October 2024, St Peter's Church, Greets Green, West Bromwich were proud and very blessed to host a very special occasion Namely to baptise and confirm candidates from surrounding churches. This special occasion was augmented by the visit of Bishop Paul Thomas, who performed the individual rites.
Baptism and confirmation are both Christian ceremonies that mark a person's relationship with the Church and Jesus Christ:
Baptism
A rite of belonging that signifies a person's death to sin and entry into the life of the Trinity. It's usually performed on infants, and their parents and godparents promise to raise them in the Christian faith.
Confirmation
A ceremony where a person confirms the promises made at their baptism. It's a mature affirmation of their commitment to the Church. Confirmation is usually performed when a person is old enough to answer responsibly for themselves, but there's no set age.
Following the service candidates and their families retired to the church hall for a buffet.
Congratulations and well done to all that attended this special day.
